A birthday or party on a yacht in Phuket: party catamarans, capacity and prices
A party at sea in Phuket starts at 27,000 THB for a 5-hour sailing catamaran for up to 15 guests. For 20 to 40 guests there are catamarans from 39,000 THB for a 3-hour sunset cruise (priced for 20, each extra guest +1,000 THB) and from 70,000 THB for 5 hours with 40 guests. Party catamarans with a DJ, a bar and lights take 30 to 140 guests and cost 135,000 to 405,000 THB for 7 to 8 hours depending on the headcount, before holiday surcharges. Every price is for the whole boat with crew; with a full group that is usually 1,500 to 3,500 THB per person, and 4,600 to 7,500 THB on the premium boats. A 5,000 THB deposit secures the booking.
Match the boat to the size of your group
For a party at sea the first question is not the route but the headcount, because it decides both the type of boat and the bill. Almost every price in the yacht rental in Phuket section is for the whole vessel with captain and crew, not per person, and it covers a set group: up to 15, 20, 25 or 40 guests. Every extra guest is charged on top, and the largest party catamarans price in steps of 10 to 20 people.
Up to 15 guests, a regular sailing catamaran is enough. The cheapest option in the catalog is the Lagoon 44: a 5-hour morning trip to Coral Island costs 27,000 THB for a group of up to 15, with a good sound system, a kayak and a SUP board on board. Each additional guest, up to 25, adds 1,000 THB.
For 20 to 40 guests you want a catamaran with a big deck. The Satisfaction 55, built in 2024, is designed as a floating beach club: a bar, party sound, a light system and room for 40. The motor Power Catamaran 46 also takes up to 40 guests and adds a water slide and an inflatable pool on its 8-hour routes.
For 40 to 50 guests look at the Party Catamaran 75 (2014), priced for 40 and licensed for 50, or the Power Catamaran 53 Indigo, which carries up to 45. Beyond 50 and up to 140 guests, the choice narrows to the big party catamarans with a resident DJ.
Party catamarans with a DJ: prices by number of guests
Four boats in the catalog have the party built in: a resident DJ, professional sound and lights, and a bar. A fifth, the Power Catamaran 85, has no DJ but carries a professional sound system. On all five the price depends on how many people come rather than on the route, so the bigger the group, the less each place costs.
The Party Catamaran 78 goes out for 8 hours with 40 to 120 guests. Up to 40 guests it is 135,000 THB, 41 to 60 guests 160,000, 61 to 80 guests 185,000, 81 to 100 guests 210,000 and 101 to 120 guests 235,000 THB. The price covers a water slide, two underwater scooters, a bar with a big menu, and a sunbed plus entry on Coral Island. Lunch is extra, from 300 THB per person.
The Party Catamaran 80 (2015) runs 7-hour charters for up to 80 guests, and lunch on board is already included. In the low season, May to October, a group of up to 30 pays 140,000 THB, up to 50 pays 170,000 and up to 80 pays 215,000. From November to April each step costs 10,000 THB more, except the 80-guest tier, which stays the same.
The Party Catamaran 111 (2019) is built for the biggest events: 7 hours, 80 to 140 guests, a canape buffet and a welcome drink included. Up to 80 guests it costs 260,000 THB in the low season and 280,000 in the high season; up to 140 guests, 380,000 and 400,000 THB.
The motor-powered Power Catamaran 75 (2019) and Power Catamaran 85 are faster, up to 15 and 12 knots, and include a transfer around Phuket and a buffet lunch. The Power Catamaran 75 has one price all year: 230,000 THB for up to 50 guests, rising to 405,000 THB for 120; it has a jacuzzi, and guests may bring their own drinks with no corkage fee. The Power Catamaran 85, built in 2026, runs from 230,000 THB for up to 30 guests between May and October to 430,000 THB for 70 guests from 20 December to 20 January, and its price already covers national park fees and kayaking in Phang Nga Bay.
What it comes to per person
To compare boats, divide the price by the number of guests and add whatever is not included: lunch, the taxi to the marina, island fees. Here are a few sums based on catalog prices for regular dates, without holiday surcharges.
15 guests on the Lagoon 44, Coral Island in the morning: 27,000 THB, or 1,800 THB each, about 2,200 with a 400 THB lunch. 25 guests on the same trip: 27,000 + 10 x 1,000 = 37,000 THB, so 1,480 each, about 1,880 with lunch.
30 guests on the 3-hour Satisfaction 55 sunset cruise: from May to October 39,000 + 10 x 1,000 = 49,000 THB, around 1,630 THB a head; from November to April 59,000 THB, around 1,970. A meal on this boat costs from 500 THB per person.
40 guests on the Party Catamaran 75 (2014), Racha and Coral islands in 9 hours: 80,000 THB, exactly 2,000 THB each, 2,400 with lunch. With 50 guests the same trip is 85,000 THB, or 1,700 per person.
40 guests on the Power Catamaran 46, Coral Island in 6 hours between March and November: 49,000 + 15 x 1,500 = 71,500 THB, and on this boat 7% VAT is added on top, which makes 76,505 THB, about 1,910 per person before lunch.
With a DJ: 120 guests on the Party Catamaran 78 pay 235,000 THB, under 2,000 THB each, while 40 guests on the same boat pay 3,375 each. 80 guests on the Party Catamaran 80 in the low season: 215,000 THB, about 2,690 per person with lunch. 140 guests on the Party Catamaran 111: 380,000 THB, about 2,710 per person including the buffet.
The most expensive option is the SPLO 74 with its karaoke room: 230,000 THB for 8 hours covers 12 guests, each extra guest adds 2,500 THB, so a group of 40 pays 300,000 THB, 7,500 per guest. In return a Thai lunch, 24 cans of beer and the karaoke are included. For a general method of working out the cost per head, see yacht or group tour.
What is included and what costs extra
Soft drinks, ice, fruit, snorkeling gear, towels and life jackets are standard on almost every party-style boat. The rest varies, and these details are what move the final total.
Food. Lunch is included on the Party Catamaran 80, on the Power Catamaran 53 Indigo for its 8-hour routes, on the Power Catamaran 75 and 85 (a buffet) and on the SPLO 74 (a Thai lunch); the Party Catamaran 111 serves a canape buffet. Elsewhere you order lunch separately: from 300 THB per person on the Party Catamaran 78, 400 THB on the Lagoon 44 and the Party Catamaran 75 (2014), from 400 THB on the Power Catamaran 46 and from 500 THB on the Satisfaction 55.
Drinks. The Satisfaction 55 and the Party Catamaran 111 sell alcohol at the bar on board, alcohol is not included on the Party Catamaran 78 either, and the Party Catamaran 80 has a bar with an extended menu. On the Power Catamaran 75 you can bring your own drinks and there is no corkage fee. If you plan a cake or champagne, raise it when you book.
Getting there and fees. Only the Power Catamaran 75 and 85 include the transfer to the marina; on other boats the taxi is yours to pay. Island and national park fees are usually extra (on Phi Phi they are 400 THB per adult and 200 THB per child). The exceptions: the Power Catamaran 85 includes them, and the Party Catamaran 78 includes a sunbed and entry on Coral Island. The Power Catamaran 46 adds 7% VAT to its price; most other boats list VAT as included.
Toys. Many catamarans have a water slide and an inflatable pool, but not always for free: on the Satisfaction 55 the slide costs 2,000 THB, a jet ski 5,000 THB per hour and an underwater scooter 8,000 THB. On the Party Catamaran 78 two underwater scooters are part of the price.
Seasons and holiday dates
The low season from May to October is cheaper on many boats. The Satisfaction 55 sunset cruise is 39,000 THB against 49,000 from November to April, the Party Catamaran 111 is 20,000 THB cheaper at every tier, and the Power Catamaran 85 is 20,000 to 60,000 THB cheaper. The Party Catamaran 75 (2014) and the Power Catamaran 75 keep one price all year apart from holidays.
The New Year weeks cost more almost everywhere. The Satisfaction 55 sunset cruise is 69,000 THB from 20 December to 20 January, the Lagoon 44 morning trip to Coral Island is 32,000 THB from 20 December to 10 January, and the Power Catamaran 75 and Party Catamaran 111 add 20,000 THB on peak dates. Some boats also treat Chinese New Year and Songkran in April as peak, and each vessel has its own dates, shown on its card.
If your date is fixed, book early, especially for December and January: the catalog has only a handful of large party catamarans, and holiday dates get more expensive on all of them.
How to choose and what to check before you pay
Count your guests with a small margin and check straight away what group size the price covers: 12, 15, 20, 25, 40 people, or steps of 10. Then decide whether you need a DJ. If your own playlist over Bluetooth is enough, a boat without a DJ is noticeably cheaper: 40 guests pay 80,000 THB for 9 hours on the Party Catamaran 75 (2014), while 8 hours with a DJ on the Party Catamaran 78 cost 135,000 THB.
Before paying, confirm five things: how long the trip lasts and which marina it leaves from; whether lunch and alcohol are included; who pays for the taxi and island fees; whether your date carries a holiday surcharge; and the maximum number of guests. For a children's party, ask about the slide and the pool: on the Power Catamaran 46 the inflatable pool comes only on 8-hour routes.
A booking on the site is confirmed with a 5,000 THB deposit. If you decline on the spot, it is refunded in full; if the trip goes ahead, it is deducted from the price.
