It's expedited passport control on arrival тАФ you're guided past the main queue to an immigration counter. During high season (roughly November-March), the passport control line at Phuket airport can run an hour or more, especially when several flights land close together.
What it doesn't cover
The service doesn't replace visa requirements тАФ you still need the same entry documents. It also doesn't handle baggage or a customs declaration if you have something to declare тАФ that's a separate step after passport control.
When it's worth it, and when it isn't
It makes sense for a tight connecting flight, a large family group with kids or elderly relatives, or simply during peak high season when the line is predictably long.
