Hiking to Cape Laem Krating from Karon View Point, individual

An individual hike through the tropical forest to the cape, which is completely different from the usual Phuket: due to the strong wind, only short grass grows on its slopes. Start at Karon View Point overlooking the three southern beaches. The trail goes through forest with patches of farmland to the Black Rock site with huge volcanic boulders at the top of the headland. Next is an untouched forest and a hermit’s hut, and half an hour later the edge of Cape Laem Krating. At the end there is a steep descent to the sea to the beach, the only one in Phuket where living colored corals are preserved. About 5 hours, about 3 km on foot, almost all the time downhill, but it’s worth assessing your strength in advance. Only your group of up to 12 people, the guide speaks Russian or English and talks about the way of life, cuisine and life of the Thais. You can go early in the morning or towards sunset.
