Gadget Rental in Phuket

you pay the same price as the supplier, no markup

Phuket B2C rents gadgets in Phuket: a PlayStation 5 for an evening in your room, a drone and GoPro for filming the trip, a projector and JBL speaker for a group at a villa. Camera drones in Thailand require registration with NBTC/CAAT before flying. The pilot, not the rental shop, is responsible for an unregistered flight on a rented drone. No-fly zones include a radius around airports (including Phuket airport), government buildings, and a number of temples. Island-wide delivery and deposit refund on return, same as with bikes and cars.

FAQ

What happens if the gadget breaks or gets lost during the rental?+

Terms depend on the specific rental provider, so check with the manager what the deposit covers. Normal wear usually doesn't count, while serious damage or loss is handled separately, discussed when booking.

Do I need to register a drone to rent one in Phuket?+

Yes, camera drones in Thailand require registration with NBTC/CAAT before flying. The pilot, not the rental shop, is responsible for an unregistered flight.

How much does gadget rental in Phuket cost for a week or longer?+

From a week, daily rates drop noticeably: the PlayStation 5 and Wanbo projector cost 350 THB a day, the DJI Mic 2 microphone 450 THB, the Insta360 X5 600 THB and the JBL PartyBox 320 speaker 800 THB. From 10 days the console and projector go down to 300 THB, the microphone to 400 and the camera to 550. The DJI Mini 3 Pro drone is priced separately: 10,000 THB for 3 days. Free delivery starts from 10-14 days depending on the item.

Can I rent a drone in Phuket without registering it?+

You can only fly yourself after the drone is registered with the NBTC and CAAT and covered by liability insurance of at least 1 million THB, and CAAT registration takes up to 14 days. If you are short on time, book an experienced operator for 5,000 THB: they film for up to two hours and edit the video, and you need neither a licence nor insurance. The DJI Mini 3 Pro itself costs 3,000 THB for 2 hours or 5,000 THB a day.

Where in Phuket are drones not allowed under Thailand drone rules?+

There is a 9 km no-fly radius around the airport, which sits next to Nai Yang and Mai Khao beaches. You cannot fly over government buildings, hospitals, military sites or a number of temples, and national parks such as Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay require permission from the park authority. General limits: a height of up to 90 m, at least 30 m from people, daylight only and within visual line of sight. Fines for violations reach 40,000 THB.

Can I film underwater with a GoPro rented in Phuket?+

Yes. The GoPro Hero 11 is waterproof to 10 metres without an extra housing, which is enough for snorkelling at Racha Yai, Coral Island and Phi Phi. Deeper scuba diving needs a dive housing, so ask whether one is available when you book. Before entering the water, check that the battery door is latched, and rinse the camera in fresh water after the sea. The GoPro costs from 500 THB a day, and for 360-degree footage there is the Insta360 X5 from 550 THB.

Which games come with the PlayStation 5 for rent in Phuket?+

The console has an active PS Plus Deluxe subscription with a catalog of more than 1,000 games, an EA subscription and purchased hits: FC 26, Spider-Man 2, UFC 5, NBA 2K25, GTA 5, Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077, Mortal Kombat 1, It Takes Two, God of War Ragnarok and more. There is nothing extra to buy. You need a TV with HDMI, and if there is none you can add the Wanbo projector. The price starts at 300 THB a day for rentals of 10 days or more.

Is delivery available for gadget rental in Phuket, and what does it cost?+

Equipment is delivered anywhere on the island: the manager agrees on the address and time via Telegram or WhatsApp after you pay the 100 THB deposit. Delivery is free for the drone from 3 days, for the JBL speaker from 10 days, and for the PlayStation 5, projector, DJI Mic 2 microphone and Insta360 X5 from 14 days. For shorter rentals the delivery fee is quoted before payment, so you know the total in advance.
